The Kowa TSN-773 77mm PROMINAR XD Angled Spotting Scope is the real workhorse of Kowa's Spotting Scope line-up. When comparing the TSN-770 Series Spotting Scopes with the Kowa's 880 Series we like to say "just as nice without the price." While the TSN-773 doesn't have the characteristic Pure Fluorite Crystal that Kowa's flagship series boasts, the PROMINAR XD glass in Kowa's 770 series is as close as you'll get to the image clarity and color in non-fluorite optical glass. Thanks to Kowa's unique eXtra-low Dispersion glass, which has characteristics closest to fluorite crystal, color blur and distortion are eliminated almost entirely.
Kowa's unique C3 and KR coatings combine to further enhance and protect the natural properties of Kowa's PROMINAR XD glass. The C3 coating reflects 99% of visible light across the entire spectrum and, in turn, exhibits true-to-life color rendition as perceived by the naked eye. The KR coating then acts to protect against external residue that can become affixed to the lenses during normal use, such as fingerprints and oil. The result is an ultra-sharp, high-resolution image in every condition, including lowlight hours when birds and other animals are most active.
In addition to Kowa's high-performance optical lenses, you'll find the TSN-773 Angled Spotting Scope features carefully considered functions and a well-thought-out design. A magnesium alloy body provides the strength and feel of a traditional metal body, but at a much lighter weight. It's also 100% waterproof, sealed against dust, and nitrogen purged to prevent internal fog. The easy-to-use dual focus system allows you to switch between quick and fine focus producing a fast, accurate image display. And the twist-out sunshade can be extended past the lens to reduce glare and direct sunlight while also protecting the lens from water exposure and external moisture.
All Kowa TSN-770 Series spotting scopes come equipped with a rotating tripod mount, tripod mounting screw, and eyepiece locking mechanism as well. The eyepiece locking mechanism holds your eyepiece securely in place while the rotating tripod mount allows you to tilt the scope to different angles when attached to the tripod so you can find what works best for you. It can comfortably accommodate 90-degree viewing and includes a 1/4 and 3/8 mounting screw making the TSN-773 universally compatible with most tripods.

The Kowa TSN-773 Prominar XD Spotting Scope is compatible with multiple eyepieces so you can decide what's the best fit for you and your viewing style.
The 25-60x zoom magnification allows users to easily adjust the range and field of view for objects that are on the move. The lower range of magnification (25x) provides a larger field of view, which is ideal for spotting birds and other wildlife. The higher range of magnification (60x) is perfect for identifying and observing subjects at a distance in detail once you've spotted them.
The 25x long eye relief eyepiece is perfect for use with glasses. The long eye relief provides a buffer for those who wear glasses and cannot place their eye directly on the eyepiece, in turn allowing for a complete field of view despite the additional space between the eyepiece and the eye.
Kowa's Premium XD Glass
Kowa's XD (eXtra-Low Dispersion) Glass combines high-performance optical glass and special concave dispersion lenses to dramatically reduce the color blur present in standard optical glass clearly showcasing almost imperceptible details and subtle changes in color. Added together with its backlight and low-light capabilities, even a beginner can recognize the difference in quality between Kowa's High-End Prominar XD Glass and other top competitors.
Water & Fogproof
The TSN-773 housing is waterproof to JIS Protection Class 7 and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging for clear viewing in any weather.
Lightweight Magnesium Alloy Body
The magnesium alloy body provides the strength and feel of a traditional metal body but at a much lighter weight.
Anti-Glare Sunshade
The twist-out sunshade increases optical performance by reducing glare on the objective lens.
Slide the hood away from the body to protect the lens from exposure to rain or to keep direct sunlight from entering the spotting scope. When the object you wish to view is difficult to find, the sight built into the lens hood can be used to find the object.
Quick Focus & Fine Adjustment
The focus knob of the spotting scope has a convenient two-step mechanism that allows for a smooth transition from quick focusing to fine adjustment so you can spot your subject easily and with all the detail Kowa's Prominar XD lenses have to offer.
When the object is substantially out of focus, use the quick focus knob, to bring the object into focus 3 times faster than when using the fine focus knob. The quick focus knob can focus from 5m to infinity in only two revolutions. The fine focus is convenient for fine focusing and slight adjustments. The minimum focus distance is 5 meters.
Secure Eyepiece Lock
Kowa's mount system of the spotting scope allows the eyepiece to be easily attached and removed. The eyepiece locking mechanism securely mounts the eyepieces to the spotting scope and prevents the zoom eyepiece from accidentally falling out of the eyepiece mount from over-rotation that can occur when zooming.
Rotating Tripod Mount
The rotating tripod mount allows the spotting scope to be set at various angles while attached to the tripod so you'll always have the best view. The body of the spotting scope can be turned by loosening the lock screw counterclockwise and rotating the scope to the desired position. (The rotation range of the spotting scope is 225°.)
Universal Tripod Mounting Screw
The tripod mount has a removable screw that allows the spotting scope to be attached to either 1/4 and 3/8 inch tripod heads. With the tripod screw inserted the mount can be used on 1/4 inch tripods. Removing the screw allows the scope to be attached to 3/8 inch tripods.

In the unlikely event that an item you ordered arrives damaged, you will have 24 hours following the delivery date to report the issue in order to receive a replacement or a refund
You will not be responsible for the shipping costs to return or replace the item.
To report damage, take pictures of the damaged item and the box with shipping label clearly visible and email them to us: support@trophyoptics.com within 24 hours after delivery.
Trophy Optics cannot be held responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged items if the damage was reported later than 24 hours after delivery.
Cancellations
An order may be canceled within 2 days of the order being place if it has not yet been shipped. To cancel an order please email support@trophyoptics.com.
If your order has been shipped, a standard return procedure applies. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that was used when the order was placed. Orders cancelled after 2 business days from when the order was placed will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee.

Even better than my 883
I sold my old 883 to a friend which helped get funding for this new scope. This scope is amazing! My old 883 was amazing, this 99A is just that little bit more. I called and spoke with Coty to order this scope, the purchase was easy, and shipping was FAST. I've decided I need to do some digiscoping, and Coty has helped with those purchases as well.

For a low price tag and a lower tier of spotting scopes, this one keeps up with the rest of them. Seeing targets out to 1400 yards is no issue. Crisp image at the lower magnification settings. Would highly recommend to anyone on a budget or just getting into long range shooting or hunting. Athlon is always the way to go!

After much online research I purchased the Midas series from Coty at Trophy Optics .
I liked them so much that I wanted to try the Cronus series , but wasn't sure the extra money was worth the step up . Called The Athlon company and spoke to a very knowledgeable staff member who took time to explain to me what the differences between the Midas and Cronus series are , and how they differ in the field . I decided to purchase a pair and have been very happy with them . A little heavier than the Midas but the edge to edge clarity is phenomenal . The locking diopter is very handy . Focusing is very easy . In short , I love them . i am seriously considering getting the 15 x 56 version for long range glassing and astronomy viewing . The reviews on them are also very good . I think that Athlon products are the best value for the money .
Did a lot of research online to find the best binoculars for money . Athlon kept coming up . Almost all reviews were very good , so I purchased the Midas G2 10x42 from Trophy Optics . Love the clear crisp image. Very easy to focus . Diopter adjustment stays where I set it . Very lightweight . Very well built . Lifetime warranty is a bonus .

I had a Vortex razor 65mm and this spotter is just as good if not better. I sold the razor and picked this up for half the price. This scope is much smaller and easier to fit in my pack. Very impressed with this very high performing spotter at half the cost of its competition. If your looking for compact backcountry spotter, pick up one of these.
